About me - Interior Design
My work with interiors began in colour. From 2005 to the end of 2014, I worked as a colour consultant in Galway, helping clients shape their homes and spaces through subtle shifts in tone, mood, and texture. That chapter rooted my love for how colour holds emotion—how it can soften or energise, ground or uplift. It was the first real portal into the deeper language of design for me.
Before that, I spent time in art college, where my creative foundations were nurtured. It’s there I fell in love with texture, form, and the emotional resonance of material. That passion guided me to return to study, and I completed my BA in Interior Design in 2016. From there, I moved into architectural offices and the commercial design world—working across retail interiors, franchise fit-outs, and project management, primarily in Dublin.
In 2021, I returned to the West of Ireland, drawn back by the rhythm of the sea and the slower, more spacious pace of life here. Since then, I’ve been weaving together my background—colour expertise, commercial insight, artistic curiosity—into a creative interior practice that is grounded, collaborative, and deeply human.
Recent projects include a mix of residential and retail work, as well as creative collaborations with Childhood Cancer Ireland and the AYA (Adolescent & Young Adult) cancer services in Galway hospital, alongside artist Finbar McHugh. I’m especially passionate about spaces that support people—whether that means creating places of calm, colour, vitality, or quiet beauty.
Every space has its own pulse. My work is about listening to that, tuning into the client’s needs, and bringing together the practical and the poetic to create environments that feel alive and aligned.
